Marissa has a passion for helping her clients navigate their personal life challenges and assisting them toward a satisfactory and durable solution. She is an Associate Attorney practicing family law matters such as divorce, parentage, child custody, child support, maintenance, judicial bypass, and adoption.

Marissa advocates for a respectful and collaborative approach to family law conflicts where possible. This approach allows families to explore creative and unique solutions to their family law issues while empowering them to control their own outcome.

Marissa provides a child-centered approach to litigation involving minor children. She will always strive to provide her parent-clients with a considerate and long-lasting outcome for them and their children.

Marissa was born and raised in Independence, Missouri. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science-Political Science in April 2018 from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. Marissa earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in May 2021 where she was awarded the John Speca Family Law Award. She is admitted to practice in Kansas and Missouri; and is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Johnson County Bar Association, and Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.
